When I really thought I might lose Stella, it was no contest. The case was a bitch but, I never lost sight of the end goal— coming home.

#this doesn't fit in my tell me more series #or maybe it does? i keep going back and forth on that #because i can certainly understand why he didn't want to tell erin and i feel like we have four seasons of reasons why #he doesn't want her to see or know or live with that guy #and abby and this joke of a marriage is from the time before #before he became a guy he could be proud of #before he met erin #but i wanted to gif this because #i keep going back and forth on whether or not there's a question mark at the end of erin's statement #it looks like it's dawning on her that he was never going to tell her but she's not 100% sure #and she's trying to give him an out to jump in and say he was going to tell her #but the look on his face confirms that he wasn't going to #and you can tell he's so disappointed in himself because he knows that he wasn't going to tell her and he's hurt the woman as a result #because he told to default to his jokes and his deflections as a shield to keep his past from her and from himself #and it didn't work and he's ashamed of himself #too painful for words (via @varietyofwords)
